Art Exhibition 2024
During my final year as a primary school teacher in 2024, I worked closely with the school’s PTA to devise and deliver a whole-school art exhibition during the summer term.
The theme of the exhibition was ‘Paint’, giving pupils across the school the opportunity to explore painting in a variety of creative ways. The exhibition brought the school community together to celebrate the children’s artwork, while also raising funds to support the school.
Together, we raised £500, which was reinvested into the school, while also helping to raise the profile of the school’s Artsmark journey and its commitment to creativity and the arts.
Commonwealth Jubilee Art
Exhibition 2022
To celebrate the Queen’s Jubilee, the whole school came together to create artwork celebrating the Commonwealth countries of which the Queen was Sovereign.
Each Key Stage explored a different creative approach to the brief. From bright, colourful stamps inspired by the artist Romero Britto in Reception, to landscape artworks representing Commonwealth countries in the Upper School, the children experimented with a range of artistic styles and mediums.
The finished artwork was brought together in a whole-school exhibition. Parents, children and staff enjoyed seeing the collection and celebrating the pupils’ hard work, creativity and exploration of the diverse cultures and landscapes of the Commonwealth.
